How to travel to the summer school?

The summerschool will take place at the "Centre CGT Frachon" near the Paris-Saclay (Orsay) University, approximately 30 km south-west of Paris. The fastest way to reach the Centre Frachon is to arrive at the Orly Airport or at the Massy-TGV train station (both located in the south of Paris).

From Paris by local transport:

The easiest way to reach the "Centre Frachon" from Paris is to take the RER B line from any RER B station in the center of Paris (eg. "Luxembourg" station), direction "Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuses", and then get off at the “Courcelle-sur-Yvette” station. This trip takes about 1 hour from the center of Paris. (map at the page "Le centre Frachon").
Please consult the RER and METRO map for the Paris region available here. From Paris, you must buy a ticket specifically for the "Coucelle-sur-Yvette" station. A Paris metro ticket is not sufficient!

From Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport:

The Charles de Gaulle Airport is located at the north-east of Paris and the Centre Frachon at the south-west. The RER B will cross Paris, no need for train change; it's just a long trip. There are two RER stations for the Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport: "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1" when arriving at CDG Terminal 1 or 3; "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV" when arriving at CDG Terminal 2.

From Orly (ORY) Airport:

Take the Orlyval (Automatic rail link connecting to RER line B) to the "Anthony" station and then transfer to the RER B going to Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and get off at "Courcelle-sur Yvette" station.

Where to park your car:

If you don't find a place inside the Centre Frachon, you will find free space to park your car in the nearby commercial area.
